Notifications, reminders and quiet hours

What Relay tells you about, where to read it, which emails you get, and how to keep nights quiet.

In short

Everything arrives in Notifications. A dot on the bell means something new.
You get a reminder about an hour before each of your shifts, and a note when tasks roll over to your shift.
In Settings → Notifications, choose which ones also come by email, and set quiet hours.

Open Notifications: the bell at the bottom of the phone screen, or in the side menu on a computer. The gear at the top (1) opens your notification settings.

New notifications are on top, under Today and then Earlier. Unread ones have a dot (2).
Tap a notification to open what it’s about, such as the shift. That also marks it as read.
To clear the dots in one go, tap Mark all read 3.

Notification	Who gets it, and when
Tasks rolled over to your shift	Everyone on the next shift, when the last one ends with open tasks.
Evening shift starts at 4:00 pm	Everyone on the shift, about an hour before it starts. If that falls in your quiet hours, it comes when they begin.
Your early check-in was approved	You, when a doctor or general manager approves or declines your early check-in or early check-out.
Due tomorrow: `C-7F3A` · Pre-procedure call	The day before an urgent event step: the people it’s for on that day’s shift. If none of them are on it, the doctors and general managers.
Noa checked in 40m early — approve?	Doctors and general managers, when someone checks in or out early. Never the person themselves.
Day shift ended	Doctors: a short summary after a shift ends, with how many tasks were done and how many rolled over.
