Automatic events from Google Calendar
Connect the clinic’s appointments calendar once, add a tag like [rhinoplasty] to an appointment, and Relay creates the event and all its steps by itself.

In short
- One time: the Google Calendar API is switched on, and a doctor or general manager connects the appointments calendar in Team → Calendar.
- Every time you book a procedure: put the protocol’s tag in square brackets in the appointment’s title or description, for example: Rhinoplasty
[rhinoplasty]. - After that, just use the calendar. Move, delete or re-tag the appointment and Relay follows. It only reads the calendar, never writes to it, and never keeps names or notes.
How it works
Your clinic keeps its appointments in Google Calendar, with patient names. Relay watches that calendar, read-only, and looks for one thing: a tag in square brackets that matches a protocol. When it finds one, it creates an event from that protocol, dated on the appointment, and the steps land on the right shifts’ checklists.
- The event gets an automatic case code, such as
C-2B9E. The same appointment always gets the same code, and nothing about the patient goes into it.
